thwarting wiles
Well now this is interesting. It's been a while since I wrote any decent (read: post-worthy) GO-fic; I attribute it to the massively depressing loss of both of my copies for seven months. But moving on...

One of the reasons why I love Good Omens fic so much is that it's so down-to-earth and yet otherworldly. There are angels and demons and other fantastical characters, and sometimes fandom makes them sleep together, but even without the sex there's all sorts of interesting things to write about!

Like death. Not DEATH, or Death, but you know, death. The loss of a body. It's got to be an issue for our favorite two wile-and-thwarters, and, well, I was curious as to how one (say, Crowley) would react whenever the other (say, Aziraphale) would... die. Or discorporate.

This fic is... ah, slightly thinky, vaguely humorous, immensely morbid, and themes of death and suicide are tossed around like pennies-- though I think I've written it rather respectfully. And it's unbetaed. Ha. :D

That said, feedback would be lovely. It's not as tight as I'd like it to be; any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks for reading!

Title: He kindly stopped for me
Author: [info]m_erechyn
Rating: PG-13 for aformentioned morbidities.
Pairing: None! Le gasp.
Fandom: Good Omens
Disclaimer: It's not mine, really.
Notes: It's one of the more unusual fics I've written, methinks.

And all of a sudden you’re thrown into the air, hovering over your dead body, looking at your feet and thinking, 'gosh, I wonder if that hurt?' )
armageddon is dangerous!
This brings the total to... eighteen? Something like that.

Anyway. More drabbles; each exactly 100 words excluding any end parentheses. Almost all of these were written late at night and prompted from the title, or... written and then adjusted to a proper title. :D

Thanks for reading! ♥ Crossposted to [info]lower_tadfield.

Title(s): Scattered, Surprise, Scandalous, Shaky, and Silent.
Author: [info]m_erechyn
Rating: G to PG-ish? You know me. No smut, no language, just... themes. :D
Pairing(s): C/A as per usual, plus canon!ships and one surprise that isn't really a surprise.
Disclaimer: Not mine. Theirs. Canon ftw!
Notes: These are really meant to stand alone; they moods are all rather different. I tried to put them in some sort of order but that didn't work; so the current order is just one that felt right?

'Oh, bugger.' Aziraphale scowled at his desk. )

'We don't have birthdays,' Crowley says blankly. )

The rest found out eventually. It was bound to happen. )

'I think we need to take some time apart.' )

Sometimes an angel and a demon... )

PG for a kiss on the cheek? XD

Doodled this sometime in June, most likely late at night. It's not really an art style I'm used to drawing in-- the weird semi-realism-- but I blame that on the fact that I didn't have a proper eraser or a pencil sharpener. Yay for fluff!

Cleaned up and colored in openCanvas 4 plus. I was going for a fade-y old fashioned effect, but I'm not sure if I got there. Thanks for checking out my stuff; hope you like it :]

Once again I come bearing a Death Cab for Cutie inspired fic, though this one is for Good Omens rather than the HP-fandom.

The song: Someday You Will Be Loved.

Though really, it's more the feel of the song than the actual lyrics themselves... in fact, the lyrics have almost nothing to do with the fic I've written. But if you happen to have the song on an mp3 player near you, by all means, play it while you read. :]

It's been a while since I wrote a full length Good Omens fic. But I'm rather fond of this one, and I hope you like it too!

Title: Someday You Will Be Loved
Author: [info]m_erechyn
Rating: PG ish. Mentions of shady characters and shadier businesses.
Pairing: Aziraphale/Crowley (Although it could be gen. This pairing walks the line.)
Disclaimer: Good Omens is not mine. Death Cab is certainly not mine. But everything else came from my pen. XD
Notes: This is a fic in two parts (plus a transition), so don't be shocked by the change in tense!

“It’s all lust,” Crowley replied, with the secret smirk of someone who knows exactly what lust is. “Perhaps a little bit of love. But I’m not interested.”  )

and they are pretty. :D

I've edited this entry to make it my official icon post. Sooo... all icons I make will end up here!

The first two are quotes from [info]shoebox_project and the rest are quotes from Good Omens.

Anyone who stumbles by, feel free to use :] Please don't direct-link; please do credit me and [info]shoebox_project if applicable. Oh, and do comment if you take one. :]

BUT.

Crowley with a venus flytrap.

I would love to see that arted.

PS: I have decided I am going to tag all my old fic with various enlightening... tags and stuff. Go me. :D

Quite some time ago [info]quantum_witch posted a lovely set of music inspired drabbles. They were based on a meme and I thought I'd try it too. :D

Yoinked from [info]quantum_witch
1. Pick a character, pairing, or fandom you like.
2. Put iTunes or equivalent media player on random.
3. For each song that plays, write something related to the theme you picked inspired by the song. You have only the time frame of the song: no planning beforehand: you start when it starts, and no lingering afterward; once the song is over, you stop writing. (No fair skipping songs either; you have to take what comes by chance!)
4. Do 5 of these, then post.

Except I cheated, because I turned all of mine into forreals drabbles, meaning 100 words each. Which required some editing after the song was over. Um. And I also kind of just wrote with the song, instead of picking a theme. Ahaha. I'm so bad at following rules. XD

That said, here be drabbles! :D Featuring Aziraphale and Crowley, because I am a fangirl.

Author: [info]m_erechyn
Rating: PG. Ish.
Pairing: Aziraphale/Crowley for the most part?
Disclaimer: Erm. Good Omens is property of Pratchett and Gaiman. Not mine, alas.
Notes: A little sad, a little wistful, a little angsty. I don't know, I like them. :D

Drabbles... with bonus Anathema, because she is nice! )
armageddon is dangerous!
... writing this was a total guilty pleasure. I won't go into details, because there's only so much one can say about 100 words of pure self-amusement, but... wow, this was fun to write!

Another one of my s-drabbles~ for the rest of them, hit up mine FF.net or check the fanfiction on this journal.

Anathema + Newt are quite possibly the most entertaining characters around. :D

As always, thanks for reading! Feedback's not a must, but wonderful. :] Posted to [info]lower_tadfield as well as here.

Title: Superstitious
Author: [info]m_erechyn
Rating: Anathema/Newt... being domestic?
Pairing: G (is for gen!)
Disclaimer: I'm like a tourist. I just write in their world. It's not mine!
Notes: Anything I put here would give it away, sooo... onto the cut!

Newt stared at the bedraggled lump in Anathema’s arms... )

This was inspired (ish) by a drabble I wrote some time ago-- it's called Symbolic and can be found at my FF.net archive or in my fics here. Of course, reading isn't necessary to understand the art. :] Just figured I'd plug it, haha.

Anyway-- sketched up on 6 x 8 sketchbook paper (yes, tiny) with a mechanical pencil, whooshed into openCanvas via my shiny new scanner, and colorized, painted, and text-ed in about two hours. The background was the hardest part. XD

I'm not sure how I feel about the text, actually, but it just needed something there. Ah well. Without further ado-- cut for a full pic! :D

Summer reminds Aziraphale of Eden, when it was still young and pure, and seduction didn’t have a name. )

Thanks for checking out the artses! :] ♥

I am immensely fond of this fic. I'm not entirely sure why. But I wrote it all in one go and edited it a teensy bit and then filed it away and forgot to post it.

So here it is! :]

Thanks for reading ♥

Title: Counting the Stars
Author: [info]m_erechyn
Rating: PGish for thoughtfullness (if that's even a word) and intentional physical contact.
Pairing: Aziraphale/Crowley, as usual :]
Disclaimer: I just borrow them, that's all.
Notes: Thoughtful fluff. I really ought to make this a genre of its own, I write so much of it. XD I really like this one, hope you do too!

Once, a long time ago, Aziraphale tried to count the stars. )
carnival
So I went to the beach for three days. And it was wet and cold and even snowed, but it was a fairly good trip because I managed to get a huge Renaissance artbook, another book about da Vinci, and yet another book about acrylic painting. :D All for a fantastic price, because we went to an outlet bookstore.

But now I'm back, and I have artses! Well, art, singular. :] To be crossposted to [info]lower_tadfield 'cos that's where all my traffic comes from, methinks. My first attempt at drawing Aziraphale and Crowley, ahahaha. Semi-realistic, if you've seen the Pollution I drew a while ago, then you'll know what I'm talking about.

EDIT: Well, it stretches out my layout, but the pic is there... just scroll down. Gah, I wish I'd kept the basic account... sometimes I don't want to view all my entries in the layout! D:

Aziraphale and Crowley, but no slash! )
carnival
Yes, I am awful with titles. Shoot me now before I think of one that's even worse. XD

This fic is almost pure fluff. Candyfloss if you will. I'm hoping there aren't insane amounts of OOCness? Also, and more importantly-- this one's for [info]pens_quarters. Even though she doesn't really use her LJ. Because she is one of my besties IRL and I wrote this when I felt like she needed a fic and yeahhhhh.

Yay for fluid not-legit ratings! Contains immortal beings kissing, wine, and perhaps a little bit too much attention to detail.

Thanks for reading! :]] ♥ Feedback is love, as usual~

Title: Accidents (or so they would seem)
Author: [info]m_erechyn
Rating: PG-10. Yes, 10.
Pairing: Crowley/Aziraphale. But of course.
Disclaimer: Do I look like a genius to you? Theirs, not mine.
Notes: Beware of fluff. And oh em gee, footnotes?!

Aziraphale, Crowley has decided, is a master of accidental physical contact. )

fic post: {no safe place, pg, good omens}

carnival
So I've been taking this history class. It's called Age of Reason, focused on Europe, and it spans from the Renaissance until... erm, I dunno. It's prep for US History, though.

A few weeks ago we were studying the Reformation, and we read about the St. Bartholemew's Day Massacre-- the largest act of violence in Europe, up until the World Wars. Anywhere from 10,000 to 100,000 Huguenots killed, I think, and all because of conflicts of religion. French Catholics vs. French Protestants (Huguenots).

It's pretty heavy subject matter, and I wasn't intending to fic it, but fic it I did, and so here's the result. I've taken some liberties with the time period-- poetic license, let's say. Not massive amounts of detail about the actual event, so one could probably read it without any knowledge of the massacre and still understand it.

Not fluff; more thoughtful. It's the last of my three very introspective fics. :0

Thanks for reading... feedback and concrit welcome, as always! Perhaps x-posted to [info]lower_tadfield, if I get around to it. :0

Title: No Safe Place
Author: [info]m_erechyn
Rating: PG for non-fluffiness and a small amount of blood.
Pairing: None really-- it's set in 1572, and I can't really picture A/C at that point.
Disclaimer: Still not mine.
Notes: Slightly dark, historical fic. Not fluff, somewhat thoughtful.

'A massacre,' Aziraphale finishes quietly. The words are sour on his tongue. )

drabble update! {seductive, pg, good omens}

carnival
Anyone remember the drabble collection I wrote a while ago? (but updated kind of recently) Used to be called home, now called somewhere?

Yeah, it's been a while. XD
But this popped into my head late at night (I think that's how most of my fic starts, actually) and well... yay?

Continuing with the s-adjectives theme... I'm not sure if this title suits the actual drabbleage, but so be it. PG because of um, shirtlessness? But really, more of a G. *just wanted to have something other than G in the headings of my journals*

Thanks for reading! Crossposted to [info]lower_tadfield, and also on FF.net.

Title: Seductive
Author: [info]m_erechyn
Rating: PG for shirtlessness and to spice up my journal. Really more of a G. XD
Pairing: Aziraphale/Crowley (but of course!)
Disclaimer: Not mine... and I'm guessing it's not yours, either. :0
Notes: Late-night drabbleage. Not particularly deep, but amusing. :D

Demons, being agents of Hell, are very adept at certain… things. )
carnival
I wrote this a long time ago-- a sort of introspective!Aziraphale piece to match the introspective!Anathema one. And I liked it quite a bit, but now... I'm not so sure.

I was really interested in the idea and everything, but it doesn't flow quite how I want it to, and it doesn't go as in depth as I'd like it to, either. Kind of skims the surface, instead.

Wow, I think I've done a successful job of convincing you all to not read this! XD
But yeah. Rambling aside, here it is!

Title: And What is Right?
Author: [info]m_erechyn
Rating: G. It's gen fic. No, really.
Pairing: None. Aziraphale centric, mentions of Crowley, but it's more friendship than anything else.
Disclaimer: Still not mine. I'm not British, not two blokes, and not a bloody genius. XD Yay for pathetic alliteration!
Notes: It's trying to be thoughtful, I'll let you decide if it is or not. Perhaps eventually x-posted to [info]lower_tadfield if anyone thinks it's worth sharing :]

Aziraphale isn’t sure if he’d even want to be human... )

Thanks for reading! ♥ Feedback is love, as always. :]

Some thoughtful, slightly fluffy tidbits about Newt and Anathema. Because they are awesome and need more love, not to mention ficcage. :D

The first is a drabble for my s-adjectives collection (previously known as home, now known as somewhere, because alliteration is amazing). Anathema/Newt, focusing on Newt.

The second is more Anathema-centric and was written purely because I adore her character and am mildly curious about the whole prophecy business. I'd like to expand on it later if I ever get around to it.

Author babbling aside, here they are!

Title: Strong
Author: [info]m_erechyn
Rating: G
Pairing: Anathema/Newt
Disclaimer: I am not Terry Pratchett, nor am I Neil Gaiman. Though that would be really cool. So yeah. Not mine.

Will somebody please, please tell me what's wrong with this fanfic? ;_;

I've given up and decided to post this for feedback. Not on [info]lower_tadfield because I'm not that brave, but yeahhhh.

This is the first chapter of my AU. Which is described in some detail in the entries below. Sooo. It would be so incredibly wonderful if someone, anyone out there could take the time to read this and tell me where all the problems are at. Erm. Nicely. Because I know there are a lot of problems in there.

I'd resort to a beta (someone very nice-- [info]tomato_greens has already offered) but I don't want to be piling work on someone who doesn't need any more of it. I know how it goes. So. Anyone out there?

Uh. I also know that Raphael is an actual angel's name, and so I'm iffy about using it for Aziraphale's human... alter ego? Any suggestions that would sound vaguely Christian (he's a priest) would be very, very nice. And accurate. :D

Without further ado, here it is:
Title: Uhmmm. It hasn't got one yet. D:
Author: [info]m_erechyn
Rating: Er. Let's say PG, though I'm not entirely sure.
Pairing: A/C, AU style!
Disclaimer: Good Omens belongs to Gneil and Pterry. Not me.

Pairing: There are many. Aziraphale/Crowley (if you squint) Anathema/Newt (cuz it's canon) and hints of various other slightly-canon pairings that may have wormed their way into this.
Disclaimer: Good Omens is not mine; for I am not Neil Gaiman and/or Terry Pratchett. Too bad, ne?
Summary: People are remembering the Armageddon. It's not good.
